NETWORKS / SYSTEMS / CONNECTIVITY

BLISTERING.IO

WE STAYED FOR THE TECHNOLOGY.
THEN WE FOUND A NETWORK WORTH BUILDING.

Five years in blockchain. A few experiments. Rather a lot of noise. And one increasingly clear interest: how infrastructure ownership, network operations and customer demand fit together as a business.

EXPLORE THE NETWORK

01 / THE JOURNEY

Five years in the trenches.

Five years in blockchain is enough time to watch a few revolutions come and go.

We've run staking infrastructure, experimented with decentralized storage and compute, and learned that keeping systems running is generally more interesting than predicting the next market cycle.

Some experiments proved promising. Others were educational in ways their business plans hadn't anticipated.

Through the noise, we kept coming back to the technology—and what people might actually build with it.

Eventually, our attention settled on World Mobile.

"Some came to speculate. We stayed for the technology."

A few market cycles later, we're still here.

02 / THE BUSINESS MODEL

A different way to build a network.

Telecommunications has traditionally been a business for enormous companies with enormous infrastructure budgets.

World Mobile is trying something different.

Its model creates opportunities across infrastructure ownership, network operations, geographic development, marketing, customer acquisition and the decentralized technology supporting it.

Blockchain is part of the machinery. So are physical telecom assets, local operators and the rather unglamorous business of finding customers and keeping them connected.

That's what caught our attention.

After years exploring decentralized infrastructure, we found a model that brought several familiar disciplines together in an unfamiliar commercial arrangement.

Rather than simply invest in the idea, we're participating in the operation of it.

EXPLORE WORLD MOBILE
"Blockchain may change who gets to participate. It doesn't make the hard parts of telecom disappear."

Infrastructure. Operations. Distribution. Customers.

World Mobile ecosystem / Independent participation

Blistering Media Inc. independently participates in the World Mobile ecosystem. This is not an official World Mobile website.

03 / OUR POSITIONS

Four ways into the machinery.

Our involvement spans four parts of the World Mobile ecosystem.

The underlying chain. Connectivity infrastructure. Geographic development. Customer acquisition.

Different responsibilities, different commercial opportunities—and a useful way to understand how the model works in practice.

01

Infrastructure / Protocol

EARTHNODE

EarthNode licence held / Network evolution ongoing

Blistering holds an EarthNode licence, one of the original 1,000 positions in the World Mobile ecosystem.

EarthNodes are intended to support World Mobile Chain operations, including transaction validation and related network services.

Our position is at the underlying infrastructure layer, where the systems supporting the wider network come together.

02

Connectivity / Infrastructure

AIRNODES

50+ AirNode positions / Multiple markets

We own more than 50 AirNode positions across multiple countries.

This is the physical connectivity layer, where equipment, deployment, network usage and actual operations matter.

It's a very different proposition from owning a token and watching a chart.

Territory / Coordination

NETWORK BUILDER

Five Pittsburgh Hexes / 2027 development planning

We've secured five World Mobile Network Builder Hex positions around Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The model is somewhat franchise-like: defined geographic operating opportunities involving local marketing, subscriber growth, coordination and network development.

Our Pittsburgh rollout is being planned for 2027.

Owning the positions was the easy part. Building a business around them is next.

04

Subscribers / Customer acquisition

AFFILIATE

Subscriber acquisition / Building toward 1,000

Infrastructure needs users. Users give infrastructure a reason to exist.

Our affiliate work is the commercial side of the experiment: introduce people to World Mobile connectivity and help grow an actual subscriber base.

We're working toward our first 1,000 active customer referrals—an important milestone in the broader Network Builder framework.

The attraction is the possibility of ongoing participation in subscription-linked network economics, subject to the program's rules, milestones and actual customer retention.

04 / FIELD DEPLOYMENT

Five hexes. One proving ground.

Pittsburgh is where our involvement moves from theory toward execution.

Five geographic positions. A potential market of hundreds of thousands of residents. And a plan to develop something commercially meaningful from the ground up.

Five hexagons on a map won't connect a single phone.

It takes customers, local relationships, marketing, infrastructure and a fair bit of coordination.

That's our work for 2027: developing the territories, acquiring subscribers, exploring deployment opportunities and learning what the economics look like in practice.

"A territory is only as valuable as the work that goes into building it."

05 / THE LONG VIEW

From the ground up. And perhaps considerably higher.

Start with local connectivity, independent operators, geographic territories and actual subscribers.

Then consider what happens when the network begins looking upward.

World Mobile Stratospheric is exploring airborne connectivity as another way to extend telecommunications infrastructure into difficult-to-reach markets.

It's an ambitious extension of an already unconventional business model.

We're following those developments closely.

For Blistering, the work is on the ground: Pittsburgh, operating positions, customer acquisition, and learning what works.

Scale isn't a promise. It's what we're here to test.

"Build the network. Understand the machinery. See where it leads."

GET CONNECTED

There's more than one way to participate.

You don't need to operate an EarthNode or acquire a geographic territory to participate in the World Mobile ecosystem.

For most people, the simplest place to begin is with a phone plan.

We're building our own referral activity alongside our infrastructure operations. If World Mobile's plans suit your needs, you can explore them through our affiliate link.
